#8 See Your Doctor Regularly

In a study of American truck drivers, many viewed their required DOT physicals as adequate to meet their non-urgent medical needs. Unfortunately, this is not a good substitute for routine medical care. Too often DOT physicals are performed at different locations where the doctor likely has never seen you before and may never see you again. Schedule an annual physical with a doctor in your hometown who can provide ongoing monitoring of your health status.
