We at Mesilla Valley Transportation, a trucking company with our largest terminal in El Paso, held a driver appreciation award ceremony to recognize our top performers. Roberto Sandoval was named the driver of the year and also received an award for being the top mentor. He shared some of his secrets for achieving excellent fuel mileage, including proper vehicle maintenance and driving at a steady speed. We also give away a brand-new car to the driver with the best MPG each quarter, and Royal Jones, the owner of MVT, praised Roberto for his dedication and his ability to inspire and train other drivers. Roberto also achieved an impressive 280,000 miles driven in a single year.
