Million Mile Drivers

We’re kicking things off with some major milestones from behind the wheel.

Anthony Rios has officially reached 1 Million Safe Miles.

Jose A. Balderrama has reached 2 Million Safe Miles.

And Oscar Peters has achieved an incredible 8 Million Safe Miles with MVT.

Eight million safe miles is an extraordinary accomplishment, and all three of these milestones represent countless hours and miles of commitment to safety.

Congratulations, Anthony, Jose, and Oscar! We’re proud to have you as part of the MVT family.

If you believe you’re approaching a Million Mile milestone, contact Leticia Jacquez at 915-791-4000, extension 2277, or Leticia.Jacquez@m-v-t.com to check your status.

Pre-Trip Inspections

Before you hit the road, a thorough pre-trip inspection is one of the most important steps you can take.

Pre-trip inspections help protect your safety and the safety of everyone around you, while also helping MVT maintain the best fleet possible and keep our equipment in great condition for everyone to use.

If you have questions about performing a pre-trip inspection or need a refresher, visit the Driver Resource Center in the MVT Mobile App. Under the DOT section, select Vehicle Inspection for additional information.

You can also watch our Pre-Trip Inspection video located under the Video section of the MVT Mobile App.

For additional assistance, reach out to the Organizational Development Department  at 915-791-8700, Option 5.

Remember, a safe trip starts before the truck ever moves.

Serious Security Incident Reporting

Safety and security also depend on knowing what to do when something doesn’t look right.

If you encounter a serious security concern such as human smuggling or trafficking, narcotics, or suspected contraband, report it immediately.

Do not confront anyone and do not touch anything involved in the situation.

Call 915-791-4000, notify Safety, and notify your supervisor right away. Your report can save lives and protect our company.

Stay Alert. Verify. Report.

When it comes to security, remember three things: Stay Alert. Verify. Report.

Watch for anyone who is not displaying required identification or whose presence in an MVT facility or restricted area appears unauthorized.

If it is safe to do so, politely ask whether the individual needs assistance and confirm that they are authorized to be in the area.

If you cannot verify their authorization or the situation raises a safety or security concern, immediately contact MVT Security, your supervisor, Safety, or management.

Never put yourself at risk or physically confront anyone. When in doubt, report it.

Truck’n Talk – Daryl Bear

In one of our latest episodes of Truck’n Talk, Daryl Bear, co-owner of MVT Solutions, joins us to explore the future of trucking and the importance of putting new technology to the test.

From electric trucks and alternative fuels to AI and autonomous systems, the possibilities are growing, but measurable results matter more than promises.

Tune in as we discuss how engineering, testing, and reliable data can help fleets separate promising ideas from proven solutions.

Fuel Efficiency

Small adjustments behind the wheel can make a big difference in fuel efficiency.

Focus on gradual acceleration, smooth braking, consistent throttle use, and minimize unnecessary engine idling by using the APU.

Managing speed uphill and reducing top speed can also help improve your MPG average and overall performance.

Small changes can add up over every mile.

Proper Footwear

The right footwear is your first line of defense.

Before stepping onto the job, make sure your footwear is ready for the conditions ahead. Slip-resistant soles, steel toes, puncture-resistant materials, and proper ankle support can help you stay protected with every step.

Gear up. Stay aware. Step safely.

Motivational Monday

It’s always great to start the week with purpose.

For Ana Alarcon, HR Business Partner, motivation comes from knowing her work makes an impact.

Every Monday brings a new opportunity to welcome new employees, help shape their first impression of MVT, and connect with new people.

It’s a reminder that the work we do each day can make a difference in someone else’s journey.

Here’s to a new week, new connections, and new opportunities.

Let us know what gets you through the week by submitting it at MVTForms.com.
