Fleet Maintenance Winter Reminder
As colder weather sets in, please remember to drain your air tanks to help prevent frozen air lines. Be sure to use the fuel additives provided at the terminal, and regularly check tire pressures, as they can change with colder temperatures.
Thanks for doing your part to keep our fleet running safely and efficiently.

Valentine’s Day for Dry Van Drivers
This Valentine’s Day, it’s all about loyalty on the road. A dry van that stays dry, doors that line up, and a truck you can count on when it matters most. Because for drivers, reliability beats roses every time.
Wreaths Across America
Mesilla Valley Transportation was honored to participate in the Wreaths Across America ceremony in El Paso toward the end of last year. This meaningful event brought our team together with the community to remember, honor, and teach the legacy of the men and women who served our country.
We are proud to support traditions that reflect gratitude, service, and remembrance for our nation’s heroes.
Truck’n Talk Podcast Highlights
We have two recent Truck’n Talk episodes you will not want to miss.
In one episode, we sit down with Holly Jones, President of Verde Logistics, who shares the story of launching a non-asset brokerage and building momentum in a competitive market. Holly talks about leveraging MVT’s fleet of more than 7,000 trailers for drop and hook solutions, the competitive advantage of being a minority and woman owned business, and why transportation is a rollercoaster that requires learning how to ride the waves. She also shares the fuel efficiency “goldfish trick” passed down from her father, Royal Jones.
In another episode, host Stephanie Valle sits down with Stephen Kane, President and CEO of Rolling Strong, for a raw and honest conversation about what it truly takes to stay healthy on the road. The conversation goes beyond diet and exercise and focuses on wellness as a core safety strategy, mental health challenges drivers face, Stephen’s journey from adversity to purpose, and how MVT is leading the charge in driver support.
Both episodes are available now on all MVT social platforms.
Safety Message
Safe lane changes start with awareness and preparation. Using the Lean and Look Method helps drivers stay alert, clear blind spots, and make smooth, controlled movements. Signaling early, checking mirrors, and continuously scanning while changing lanes are small habits that make a big difference in keeping everyone safe on the road.
Driver Appreciation Day
Driver Appreciation Day is coming up at all of our terminals on February 26th. We will find out the driver who has the top MPG and a perfect CSA score for the quarter, and that driver will win a brand new car.
Bring your family and friends out for good food, fun, and great company. The event runs from 11 am to 2 PM. We will see you out there.
